26 March 2011 Dear Sir,
What if the school fees receipt is in any other language other than english.
In that case they will not mention tuition fees but will use some hindi, gujarati marathi other regional language word.

What should be done in that case

26 March 2011 Nothing.

Meaning is important what ever it be the language.

26 March 2011 Tuition fee paid and you had received the receipts in any language can be treated as receipts, if you file the same alon with your return of income it will be more than enough...

" Whatevet the language, no issue, you must actually paid the fee"

26 March 2011 1st of all you are not required to submit the bill/receipts for tution fees while filing/submitting your income tax return.
In case your file is selected for scrutiny the receipt of tution fees (whatever the language) will be ample proof to justify the deduction.
