What will be the tax treatment of the dividend not recd but which is reinvested in debt mutual funds resulting in increase in units to be redeemed at the end..??

When dividends are reinvested in any mutual fund the same is treated as fresh investment and the period of these particular is reckoned from the date of such reinvestment.
In case of debt funds, the investment is short term if redeemed within the end of 3 years and longterm if redeemed after the end of 3 years
