There is no prescribed format given for maintaining the daily production register and rejection register.However, as per the generally accepted practices it should contain the followings- Production Register- to be maintained at item level- 1. date,opening balance (qty and/or value) 2. production during the day (qty and/or value) production slip number 3. Other receipts like returns etc with doc ref. 4. Issues to production (qty and/or value) with issue slip number) 5. Other issues ( like destroyed,given as sample or gift,written off etc) 6. Closing Balance (qty and/or value)
Rejection Register- 1. Date 2. Nature of rejects (like steel,copper,chemical etc)' 3. Rejection disposed off ( sale or destroyed) All with proper reference to quality deptt report and production report. 2. Rejection received ( qty) with Production batch reference
