In the present scenario, getting exemption from CS training is manageable. But you can't even imagine getting exemption on the basis of ur CA articleship.
Generally, ICSI provides exemption for candidates who have work experience in finance/secretarial departments for a reasonable period...say 3 to 4 years.
Your success is in convincing the institute detailing your work experience together with the certificates, Annual Reports of the company and other requisites.
What i recommend you is to forget abt training and concentrate on CS exams (as exams are no way connected to training unlike other institutes)..thereafter based on ur work experience, claim exemption.
Then also, ICSI may grant you only a partial exemption like 6/12/14 months and may ask you to complete the remaning months training.
EASIEST WAY: Pass CS exams(Executive and/or Professional) and go for an opening in a good company with CS requirement and work as 'Assistant Company Secretary' for ONE year. Submit a letter signed by the CS of ur company reg ur experience, profile and designation. You will get full exemption from 15 months training.
