Whether the cost of acquisition is actual purchase cost or market value on that date after 1.4.1981, bcoz for the seller the sale consideration is market value if it is more than sale consideration.

After 01-04-1981 Cost of acquisition would be actual cost and Cost of improvement till the date of sale. One can avail the indexation accordingly the year.
