Correction of AY in advance tax challan

23 February 2010 My query is regarding correction for AY on Challan. I have paid advance tax for AY 2010-11 in Dec09, but by mistake the AY mentioned on the challan was 2009-10. I want this to rectify, please let me know the complete procedure for the same.

It would be great if there is fast reply.

23 February 2010 You need to write one Correction request letter to your ITO along with the copy of challan which is paid mistakenly.
