Conversion of preference shares in to equity shares

we have previosly issued convertable preference shares at premium.
now we have converted in to equity shares.
My question is while converting of p.shares into equity shares should i take premium of earlier issue to convert p.shares to equity shares?

04 June 2011 According to me the premium received at the time of issued is not relevant to redemption or conversion.
