I am a 30 year old guy and have been offered an option to join as a consultant or a regular employee in a company. The CTC in both cases is Rs.13.2 lakh per year. I assume that as a consultant there are few deductions and therefore, the take home salary is higher as compared to regular employee. The company has just started their India operations so they do not have a proper break up of ctc except divided into basic, hra , medical and special performance allowance and no PF contribution. Can you please assist me in computing the tax liability for both the cases and which option should I choose?
