I have completed my articleship from a audit firm but my principal refuses to sign form 108(for completion). he wants me to completee work of this financial year(09-10) as my articleship ended on 21st march I argued with him that it's a fresh work & doing audit will take time & i want some exposure in good firm or so. but he is rigid & even he is not ready to pay the delay fine as it's bcoz of him i am not able to file it on time even indirectly he is showing me his contacts with council members. I would also like to mention that he even did'nt pay me my stipend for last 2.5 years whenever, I ask him he says you are irregular that's why I am not paying and even I did'nt get my expenses reimbursed and he does'nt maintain any attendance records and even there's no article in his office except me all are dummies. but i was irregular bcoz there not so much of work & he use to mentally harras me also by compelling me to do meagre works even he use abusive language actually he is lot hyper. But anyhow I have done his all the works in my articleship period. plz help me out I don't want to work anymore for him. is there any sudent grievance cell & would any action would be taken against him if i complain or as always student has to suffer. plzzzzzzzzz help me out i am lot tensed there's no working environment there i can't work there anymore..

First, have a clear cut discussion with your principal. The discussion should be very professional way and mind you you are dealing with professionals. You'll be in this world tomorrow also and hence a healthy discussion would be of great help. Put forward your point, concerns in a very professional way. And LISTEN to your principal carefully and try to understand his point of view. Do not agrue. In this political world you have to be politically correct always. Have a matured and constructive discussion and put your point forward citing your preferences or interests. After doing all the above honestly if you feel that you are still in the soup, then knock the door of ICAI. That should be the last option. Also ensure you have all the relevant details and documents handy when you approach ICAI. Good Luck
