According to me a practicing CA can be director of a company but the audit report can not be signed by that CA as per remuneration is as usual.

As per chartered accountant regulation a CA can be director in a company without any prior permission but only intimation, but appointment as WTD or MD require prior approval of council, also compliace of sec 226 of companies act is necessary... Sumat Singhal
