30 July 2012 can any one tell me that additional director appointed under section 260 can be retired under section 256?

i mean can an additional director is subject to retire by rotation?

30 July 2012 Madam,

As per Sec 260, additional directors hold office only upto date of next AGm of the company. ie, they automatically retire at the date of the next agm.

Hence, they are not considered for the purpose of calcluating the no: of directors that need to retire on rotation basis.
