25 June 2008 Mediclaim insurance is allowed as a deduction u/s 80D.But whether the claim of mediclaim insurance(income) is taxable or not?

25 June 2008 No..it is not taxable as it is not an Income..It is just reimbursement expenses incurred by u towards hospitalisation..
