Hello Sir, I had to stay on a rental property for a period of 6 months due to repair work in my self owned property. Please advise if i can claim HRA for these 6 months and also interest in full on self owned property. Thank you!
As regards the HRA, you will be getting the tax exemption under section 10(13A) so long as you are staying in a rented accommodation and actually making the rent payment, irrespective of whether you are having your own house(s) or not.
