Dear Sir,

An MCom (Banking) post graduate with 12 years International working experience ( Age 37) in accounts & finance want to become a chartered Accountant from Institute of chartered Accountants of India. Can you provide the career path. Any exemptin available for MCom ( Banking)post graduates? count 12 years gulf work experience in accountancy?

Now a days the CA / ICWAI course structure is not suitable for working professionals with age above 30 & also no transparency. Absolutely structured for full time students in the age group 17-30

Please inform the career path & exemptions for CA / ICWAI course ,India

Best regards

Sam

22 May 2011 i agree that ICAI is verty strict n structured for working professional but u can go for ICWAI n u can get articleship exemption with ur given experience..
in fact SAM i was also with same problem ...so finally i opted for CFA(US) ..
its really good course for Investment Banking n u need not to have any articleship for appearing exam and after completing all levels for getting chartered ship u need 4 years experience but u get goot placement after just doing all 3 levels...
other options are CIMA, SAP

22 May 2011 According to your facts ICWA course is batter for you.
