Change in assessing officer


01 January 2014 Dear Sir(s),
If there is change in Assessing Officer of Income Tax during the financial year, then which officer's ward should be filled in ITR of that financial year, Old Officer's or New Officer's?

01 January 2014 it should be new officer.

and intimate to income tax department by simple application for change in ward.

01 January 2014 If old officer had issued letter to the assessee in regarding of change in officer, then there is need to intimate to Department by application?
And another question is, how we can know that officer is changed?
