Chairman of audit committee absent in agm

09 September 2014 I want to know what is the consequences if the chairman of audit committee is absent in Annual General Meeting ??

Is the AGM is adjourned or shall be Valid ?

09 September 2014 Attendance of chairman @AGM: Section 177 of the Companies Act, 2013 does not requires attendance of chairman of audit committee to attend general meetings.

However as per clause 49 of the listing agreement, the Chairman of the Audit Committee shall be present at Annual General Meeting to answer shareholder queries
