CS is more to do with Accountancy while CFA's pick data from those accounts and use them to evaluate the worth of an asset. Current market trends show that CFA's are the higher paid of the two.
duration: I don't exactly understand what you meant by it, but I will try to explain. Be ready to learn throughout your life. Comparatively a cfa will need to update his knowledge more often than a ca/cs just because everyday hundreds of new products/derivatives come into the market. But, otherwise basics remain the same in both the professions.
valuable: cfa's get paid more but then they are less in number too. The performance bonus component of cfa's are usually very high (at times 75-80% of the total compensation) as compared to ca/cs. This hits hard when the markets are bad (as they are today).

CS through exposure to costing and indirect taxation. Here too, major work may be of secretarial and compliance and less of costing, however, it may be reverse in some cases. These courses can be pursued simultaneously. LLB is recommended here for greater stability and exposure.
