Certificate of Incorporation - Not Received

05 April 2011 I am one of the Directors of a Pvt Ltd Co. incorporated in the FY 2010-11. We have not yet received any Certificate of Incorporation from ROC. But we are able to see the status in MCA site as Active against our Company's name. To whom shall we contact for enquiring about the receipt of Certificate of Incorporation? Is there any call centres or help desk in this regard set up by ROC?

05 April 2011 In my opinion u should personally visit the office of ROC and collect the same.

05 April 2011 Thank You sir....

06 April 2011 Once the company is registered, the copy of the COI is forwarded through email to the email address given in Form 1. Check the mailbox. The physical copies are received within a weeks time.

If you need the copy urgently, you may download the copy by using the option "view public documents" and then opting for "certificates" where "Certificate of Incorporation" is avaiable. You have to pay Rs. 50/- for this. You can also download the AOA / MOA and other forms viz., 18, 32, etc. as approved by the ROC.

You can also contact the concerned ROC either personally or over phone to know the status of despatch.

06 April 2011 A) Check whether the COI was returned back to the ROC, for that you have to get in touch with the ROC.
If that is the case then then you have to to make an application to the Registrar along with the self stamped envelop of Rs 25 '

B) In other case you have to pay a fee of Rs. 50 electronically through the MCA portal for the Certified Copy of the Certificate of Incorporation.
Then you have to make an application to the Registrar along with the copy of the challan to the ROC.

You should follow up with ROC because it is very important.

06 April 2011 Yes I paid the amount for Certified Copies of Rs.50/-. But I am asked to visit the ROC office to collect the certified copy of Certificate of Incorporation after 10 days from the payment. Can I get by sending an application to ROC by post along with the self-stamped envelop of Rs.25/- or is it necessary to visit the ROC office personally?

06 April 2011 What I suggested to you was to download the COI (not certified copy) by paying Rs.50/- (view public documents) which can be used for account opening, PAN application, etc.

Since you have applied for certified copy you will have to collect it personally or through messenger from ROC. Take the fee receipt when you visit ROC.

06 April 2011 ya sorry...i think i read it wrong. well then what's the meaning of certified copy? who shall certify it?
