I am thinking of pursuing in the Certificate course in Business Finance conducted by ICAI. Can someone please tell me:- 1. Is this course useful? 2. When does the regn for the course start? 3. Is study mat for the course provided by ICAI? 4. What is the last date for registration? 5. Who have been the faculties for the course in the past batches?
MASTER IN BUSINESS FINANCE CERTIFICATE COURSE Registration Overall Scheme Prospectus • Registrations are done on first cum first served basis. The course fees is Rs.20, 000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousands only) in lump sum or Rs.5, 500/- per quarter. Payment can be made online or through Demand Draft or through Cheque drawn in favor of “The Secretary, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India”, payable at New Delhi.
• The first instalment is payable at the time of Registration and the remaining instalments on 1st July, 1st October, 1st January. Course fee once paid is non- refundable and it is on no frill basis.
• The course is open for the members of the Institute and for the students who have cleared their final examination. The course is presently being run in Mumbai and New Delhi. This is also proposed to be conducted at Kolkata and Chennai. • Participants registered for the course have to pursue the classes as per schedule to be notified.
• Duration of the Course is as follows:
o Self Study – 300 hours o Class room teaching – 150 – 200 hours o Case Study in Groups – 200 hours.
• The participants are required to devote time for the self-study and case study given to them. Participants will be grouped for preparing the case study. The participants must complete the Self-study hours and case study for appearing at the Evaluation Test.
• Candidates, who have successfully completed classes, are eligible to appear at the evaluation test.
• Evaluation will be conducted twice a year, in the months of May and November.
• There will be no limits to the number of attempts of the evaluation test. The participants can re-appear for the test and the re- ppearance fee will be @Rs.1,000/- per level comprising two papers each. The participants will be allowed to re- ppear for the test only after six months of the first attempt.
• On successful completion of the Course, a certificate will be awarded to the participants. • The Prospectus of the Course has been hosted on the website of the Institute viz. www.icai.org.
