cenvet credit on duty paid in electric power bill

05 April 2011 Ours is a steel manufacturing unit. The electric power bill, we pay a huge amount as excise duty. Can we take credit of the duty.

16 May 2011 electric power is not covered under cenvat rules 2004,

also there is no duty paid as excise or cvt on electic bills,

no credit available of cenvat in relation to electric bills.
