Can we claim the cenvat inputs that took place before the excise registration ?

Dear Sridhar,
You can calim CENVAT on the inputs Raw material as well as Capital goods received before Registration with Central Excise authority subject to the purchase invoice should be CENVATABLE containing all the requisite detail as per CENVAT Rules for claiming the CENVAT.
