Actually, i'm a CA FINAL student.. In PCC, i never learned or even saw the CASE LAWS for my exams.. Though got good marks in PCE JUNE'09.... But, now i wanted to know, how important are the CASE LAWS for FINALS??? My problem is that, i can't remember the case laws on one hand, on the other, its impossible for me to co-relate each case law with Q i'm asked in exam... I mean, i really wonder how my friends did that, coz i get confuse after reading CASE LAWS... So, is it feasible for me if i skip CASE LAWS completely in FINALS too, or there are some important case laws existing for exams....

Hi Dhiru, I had the same probl;em whem I was doing my CA Inter. suddenly i new idea came into my mind. I read one whole chapter and then started imagining what type of questions/ case laws can be asked from that particular chapter. once that was done, I wrote names of around 8 to 10 case laws on a fullscape paper and started revising it every day upto around 10 days. Believe me I got above 60 amarks and still i remember those case laws. try the trick. Best of luck. Regards, CA Shakuntala Chhangani
Most important thing towards exam and future aspects for us should be our approach. We can't reject the importance of case laws and sections for fetching 4 to 5 extra marks. So for your final preparation go for case laws. One method to remember case laws is put them in writing and paste the paper on the walls of your room and revise them twice and thrice a day. Hope you agree with me.

Shakuntala, even i got 66 this time, without reffering any case law.. So, i thought i can get it too for FINALS... Anywz, from the advices u both gave, i think i have to keep in touch wid CASE LAWS continously, atleast till my exams.. So that i can remember them and connect them with the Qs...
