08 March 2014 What is the meaning of self-generated assets in capital gains?
Does it refer to those assets which got generated by themselves, or those assets which were generated by the assessee himself??

And what will be the COA of a building which was self constructed by the assessee?

08 March 2014 self generated assets refer to asset constructed by the assessee itself. the cost of acquisition shall be the cost of construction capitalized.
