14 March 2009 Hello friend, The point of exemption arises where although there is a TRANSFER AND SUCH TRANSFER IS OF CAPITAL ASSET, but still capital gain is exempt.
Two cases are there....
1.Exemptions under various sub-clauses of section 10 and,
2. Exemptions under sections 54, 54B, 54D, 54EC, 54F, 54G.
