03 August 2012 Dear sir,
our co. has shares of unlisted co.(Pvt. ltd.), during the year we sold all of these shares(Long term i.e. more than 3 yrs holding).
I want to know the taxblity of the same i.e. at what rate it will be taxable, benefit of indexation be available or not.
And is there any way to save the same.

Thx.

03 August 2012 The unlisted shares capital gain is computed in the normal manner and indexation is available for the same.Rate of Tax on Capital Gains @20% in your case.
