TTBR (telegraph Transfer Buying rate) Telegraphic transfer buying/selling rate in relation to a foreign currency is a rate of exchange adopted by the State Bank of India for purchasing/selling such currency where such currency is made available by that bank through telegraphic transfer.
it is used in computing Capital gain on transfer of shares / debentures by a non-resident [First proviso to Sec. 48 and rule 115A]
