Can we send packing material free of cost (FOC)

18 January 2011 We are not manufacturer of Packing material .Can we send packing material free of cost (FOC)(only with excise value) to any vendor, packing material which we recived fom our packing vendor.we are registered in Excise.

19 January 2011 Yes under not 214/86 for job work. Or remove it as such under cenvat rules.

20 January 2011 Sir can we also send packing material for making our finish product to our vendor in bulk as FOC.wat we mention in bill and how excise value we treat.Please help sir
