Hi, One of my friend come to me and said that his father is working in a Company and having Salary Income. In A.Y. 2010-11 his accountant has filed his income tax return (Manually) on dated 07-04-10 claimed a refund of Rs. 30885.00. He forget to consider Commission Income from Insurance. On dated 26-08-10 his accountant filed again original income tax return (Manually) without considering salary income and claimed a refund of Rs. 12212.00. Income tax department considered 2nd return and refund claimed amount of Rs. 12212.00. As both the return is not correct can he file revised income tax return now? Is there any penalty or interest payable? Kindly help me in this matter.

Sir both the return filed is incorrect coz. in first return income from other sources not considered and in 2nd return income from salary not considered. But Department processed the return on the basis of 2nd return. Now in Revised return should I to mentioned 2nd original returns number and date or 1st original returns number and date.
