I have Form 16 for last year which does not have any deduction as my Income did not cross the limit.Can I file ITR? Also, what will be the benefits of filing ITR then?

I agree with Manmohan, but the practical difficulty is that now Income tax office people are not accepting NIL returns. They try to avoid to take these returns. Better is to file the ITR online. Legally they can't do so, but no benefit in fighting with them.

Also, I have 1 Form 16 of the current company & no proof of the last one, so should I file details of this company only which has issued me Form 16 who had paid me only Rs.53,500 only
