Can 2 brothers form a huf?

20 November 2013 Suppose there is a family of four - Husband, wife and two son. Both the sons are over 18 years of age. None of them are married. There exist a HUF with husband as the karta. Now if HUF property is gifted to the two sons, can the two sons form a separate HUF?

24 November 2013 They have to wait till the marriage takes place. The income from property will be taxed in the Parent HUF only.

Who ever will marry first, will form his HUF first.

Bachelor brothers can not form a separate HUF.
