The processing normally takes a time of 10-15 days depending upon the number of applications received by ICAI for membership. In case there are loads of forms (it happens at times of results where lot of people pass out and apply for membership) it takes a time of 20-25 days. But no need to worry as membership is allotted w.e.f. the date of application. To illustrate, if you have applied for membership on 31st January, and your form has been processed at ICAI on 15th February and you have been allotted membership, then you shall be member of ICAI w.e.f. 31st January and not 15h February.
