This query is : Resolved

17 August 2022 i have completed articleship of 1 year 9 months and 7 days with an extra leave of 47 days during my training and took termination on 31/03/2020. Am i eligible for November 2022 Intermediate Exam?

06 July 2024 To determine your eligibility for the November 2022 Intermediate Exam, let's break down the requirements based on your articleship completion and termination:

1. **Articleship Completion**: You completed 1 year, 9 months, and 7 days of articleship, which totals to approximately 1.78 years.

2. **Additional Leave**: You mentioned taking extra leave of 47 days during your articleship.

3. **Termination Date**: Your articleship termination date is 31/03/2020.

For eligibility for the Intermediate Exam under the new regulations effective from 1st July 2017, the articleship period required is 3 years. According to the guidelines:

- If a candidate has completed at least 2 years and 6 months of practical training, they are eligible to appear in the Intermediate Examination.
- Additional leave taken during articleship may be adjusted against the training period, subject to approval by the Institute.

Given your articleship duration of 1 year, 9 months, and 7 days, along with 47 days of extra leave, you may need to check with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) regarding the eligibility criteria and how the additional leave impacts your training period. It's important to seek clarification directly from ICAI or your regional office to confirm if your training period and leave adjustments meet the eligibility criteria for the November 2022 Intermediate Exam.
