ONE OF MY CLIENT WHO IS A CIVIL CONTRACTOR HAS UNDERTAKEN GOVERNMENT WORK. THEY HAVE DEDUCTED APART FROM OTHER DEDUCTIONS 1% TOWARDS CONTRACTORS BENEVELONT FUND. MY QUERY IS WHETHER THIS IS A BUSINESS EXPENDTITURE OR NOT. THIS CBF IS DEDUCTED FROM THE PAYMENT TO ALL THE CONTRACTORS AS A STATUTORY DEDUCTION.
