We have a client who is a non governmental organisation running a working womens hostel. They have recently floated a tender through paper advertisement to identify potential grocery suppliers with sufficient resources for supplying grocery itmes and vegetables to their hostel on daily basis for a period of one year. The number of inmates of the hostel is around 100 and the dialy payment to the grocerywala would be of the order of around Rs. 1600/-. This is only a purchase arrangement. Section 194C talks about works contracts alone. Please clarify whether TDS has to be made u/s. 194C?

Im a CA final student and wish to join industrial training in Kolkata, i have also downloaded the list of companies from ICAI website. but really don't know how to approach them, what is the process. On asking at the ICAI office, they have asked to come to institute regualrly and see the notice board, or go personally at the organisation.

Can anyone here please tell me that has transfer rules have change i mean have all powers gone in hands of ourt principle i.e if they want to give transfer then they will give if not then no?
Please i want all new+old rules that are applicable to transfer of articles.

Is it possible,that i would be allowed to take termination from existing firm with consent of my principle and to join a new firm with in the same city?
what are the circumstances under which i can do so?
