Investment banking

Dear All,

Myself Ramachandran, I am working in General Ledger and Book keeping process. I have a total experience of 5 years.
Now I just want to expand my scope from accounting to Accounts and Finance.
I want to make a career in and as Financial Analyst. So, I am thinking about taking a course on Investment banking and Risk Management.
Can you professionals suggest me whether my move is a wise one or insane ?

I am a CA student but I really want to become an astronaut now because I love the moon. i want to go there .
So as per ICAI guidelines can a student do his Articleship from the moon.....so that my career is not affected due to this passion of mine.

and after clearing CA can i become a partner in BIG-4 from MOON only.
i also want to open a branch of ICAI on the MOON ....is it possible ?

queries regarding CA course

I have just given my ca cpt exam and i have lots of question in my mind regarding further ca course like should i do ca with regular college? should i give both ipcc groups together? or should i play safe ? And from where i can take coaching and generally when classes for ipcc starts? Please help me regarding all these matters. Thank you

1) Legal administrative assistants:

Legal administrative assistants perform a variety of secretarial and administrative duties in law offices, legal departments of large firms, real estate companies, land title offices, municipal, provincial and federal courts and government.

Main duties

Legal administrative assistants perform some or all of the following duties:

i) Prepare and key in correspondence and legal documents, such as deeds, wills, affidavits and briefs, from handwritten copy, shorthand and machine dictation using computers
ii) Review and proofread documents and correspondence to ensure compliance with legal procedures and grammatical usage
iiii) Schedule appointments, meetings and conferences for employer
iv) Set up and maintain filing systems, utilizing knowledge of legal records and procedures and frequently controlling confidential materials and documents

vi) Determine and establish office procedures and routines
vii) May supervise and train other staff in procedures and in the use of current software

2) Administrative assistants

Administrative assistants perform a variety of administrative duties in support of managerial and professional employers. They are employed throughout the private and public sectors.

Main duties

Administrative assistants perform some or all of the following duties:
i) Prepare, key in, edit and proofread correspondence, invoices, presentations, brochures, publications, reports and related material from machine dictation and handwritten copy
ii) Open and distribute incoming regular and electronic mail and other material and co-ordinate the flow of information internally and with other departments and organizations
iii) Schedule and confirm appointments and meetings of employer
iv) Order office supplies and maintain inventory
v) Answer telephone and electronic enquiries and relay telephone calls and messages

ix) Record and prepare minutes of meetings

OR

3) Executive assistants

Executive assistants co-ordinate administrative procedures, public relations activities and research and analysis functions for members of legislative assemblies, ministers, deputy ministers, corporate officials and executives, committees and boards of directors. They are employed by governments, corporations and associations.

Main duties

Executive assistants perform some or all of the following duties:

i) Establish and co-ordinate administrative policies and procedures for officials, committees and boards of directors
ii) Analyze incoming and outgoing memoranda, submissions and reports and prepare and co-ordinate the preparation and submission of summary briefs and reports to executives, committees and boards of directors
iii) Prepare agendas and make arrangements for committee, board and other meetings
iv) Conduct research, compile data, and prepare papers for consideration and presentation by executives, committees and boards of directors
v) Meet with individuals, special interest groups and others on behalf of executives, committees and boards of directors to discuss issues and assess and recommend various courses of action
vi) Liaise with departmental and corporate officials and with other organizations and associations on behalf of executives, committees and boards of directors.
