I've come to know about Actuaries from AS-15. Since then I have accessed on internet & heard from friends that it's a high rewarding & prestigious career. But i guess it might not be so. Here i would welcome the Experts of Market & Industry to share their knowledge about Actuarial Career such as Demand of Actuary in Insurance Companies as well as in Network Firms, Intial Salary Packages, Best Recruiters etc. Any reference to Reliable source of information would also be appreciated. I have completed my CA in August 2013. But recently i have to move to California USA temporary due to my husband short term (1 year or 2 year max) transfer.

I am on dependent visa and also have a year old child. I can't work here but can do study. So to maximum utilize my time i am thinking of some courses like transfer pricing or IFRS or any internationally recognized courses.

Can you please suggest me some courses and corresponding colleges which do have value in India and help me in my career further.

Hi, I am working as Sr.A/c Officer in Pvt Ltd Company(MNC) since April 2010.Total experience in a/c & taxation is nearabout 8+ years. (P 6 L P.A.) I have completed my B.Com,LLB & 1 group remaining of Company Secretary(CS). I have not done any sort of trainig till date which has been sprecified by ICSI. 1)Please let me know can i get training exemption on the basis of this work exeperiece?if yes please guide. 2) Please let me know the career prospect after completing CS?
