My interest lie in taxation and assume one clears CA with good marks what are the opportunities available.

Also any advice for a person whose interest lies more in the tribunal and consultancy rather than tax audits?

Information on pay and good firms in India will help me a lot.

i want to join certificate course on valuation, firstly I want to know after compleating the classses, is there any exam and the level of exam etc.
Second, what is the scope available for a CA after compleating the certificate.(presently I am working in industry, expierience of 1 year)

i am currently preparing for CA PCC 2nd grup..m going to appear in this may....my 1st grup of PCC is cleared ....

exams will be finished on 15th may....and as we all know result will come near about in the end of july....

i will have approx 2 n haf months after exam...i want to ask whether i shud join for CA finals coachings or i shud wait for results...?

I am a CA, cleared in 1st attemp n CS, AN ALL INDIA 16TH RANK HOLDER. I want to work in a bank, but have come across that in banks only reference matters. So any of the member having reference for banks in kolkata please do refer me. If any one interested plz let me know, so that i can send my resume across.

According to ICSI , if a student appears in all four examinations of foundation and fails . BUT OBTAINS > 60 % marks in any subject , he will be exempted from appearing in that subject in next three attempts .

My question is -> if a student obtains more than 60 % marks EACH in two subjects but fails in remaining two examinations, will he be given exemption in one or in two examinations out of four examinations in next three foundation examinations ??

I completed my MBA from ICFAI University & currently I have been working with HDFC Asset Management Co LTD. for the last 2 Years in Sales. I m 29 years old & going to appear in IPCC in MAY 2011. I have decided to leave my job if i can crack the IPCC exam. I need ur suggestions in this regard that will it be helpful for me in my career growth? Coz I wil b completing CA course at the age of 32+ if i can clear it at one go. i want to shift my job profile from sales to core finance. Plz help me out wt would be the best way for me? I want to be a global level investor like Warren Buffett.So what shall i pursue first in my career.ACCA's approach seems to be much more analytical than that of CA, so i am thinking to do ACCA. And i am not joining CFA directly because i want to have solid business knowledge in an international perspective. Then which course shall i pursue.
