I have passed out CA Final in Jan 2008, I have not been able to attend the GMCS sessions which are mandatory after completing CA.

Could anyone please let me know the details of next session scheduled in Hyderabad.

I have a query about Eligibility of Associate member of our institute for pursuing PhD.

I am in possession of an MoU between ICAI & University of Pune which states that FCAs are eligible for PhD.

Now here are the query(s):

1. Is there any university where Associate member (ACA) is eligible for PhD?

2. Has any member of CAclubIndia registered as a PhD student in ANY university? If so, please drop a mail at adityapanse@gmail.com

Im student of ca-pcc ihave completed my 7th months of articleship .after 7th months im not happy because my my employer give the work of typing & said to go to bank deposits challan & withdraw cash & other work . im really confused about my career .is it effect my career or not. it is ok with my 7 month articleship

hi brother is doin CA. he is 24 yr old. just started CA. Good in studies but by the time he will become CA ,his age will be 27.5. He will clear finals in first attempt as he is good in studies. So he should go ft CA or do sm other course.
Need advice regarding age factor. at 27 will he get good placements?

I am a CA final student in old scheme and my final attempt is falling due in Nov. 09. I have cleared my PE1 and PE2 respectively in first attempts and since i am 20 yrs. of age now, i wish to go for MBA whole-heartedly. I would request you sirs to guide me as to how can i do that?I mean can i apeear for CAT or similar such exams together with my Final attempt as all MBA exams are conducted more or less around the month of november and if i leave Nov. 09 attempt of MBA exams, i will have to wit for 1 more year. Will institute allow me to go for Regular MBA after clearing my CA Final exams or will articleship cause problem in that. I am go for dummy to serve the purpose as it will be a matter only of a month or so as all MBA colleges starts their academic year around October and i will be completing my 3 years of articleship in oct.2010...so i think i can go for mba exam in nov. 09 and take regular mba classes from next term,i.e.-2010. Will all this be possible. Pls help me sirs. I am very confused.

I am qualified CA of May 07 batch. I appeared for the CA campus programme in April 08 & got selected in DE Shaw & Co in their financial operations group in Hyderabad.

Moreover, I have also given interviews for Adventity (KPO) & got through with it as an Analyst-Research & Analytics . The posting is in Mumbai.
There i would be required to cater to Credit Suisse Bank (as a top official was there to take the last round of interview).
Hence, this would be hardcore investment banking job but in a KPO. But salary wise they are paying really less.

Can anyone suggest which is going to be a better option with me? I am really interested in career growth.

please tell me that is it the experience that a person gets from one year of work.

hi .have got myself registered as an article from 22nd of april 08 .presently doin a correspondece diploma course from icfai .got my last exam of this course on 27th of april .Should i fill in form 112 and send it supposing i clear and finish the course the results of which will be publishd in a months time ??Wht do i do if i dont clear this time ..i would writing next in september .PLz send in your views.Then again i hope icfai has won the legal battle it had against ca .
