I was treasure of rwa society registereed 1860 in meerut,for financial year 2007-08. Auditor was appointed by registratar of society in 2008-09 but audit was completed in march 2010. MY question is
a. can legally I sign as treasurer of scoeity in 2010.
b. Auditor has written a letter present body that president, gen. secy., and treasurer of 2007-08 will sigh the balance sheet. My view is that it will be sign by present body not old body

Applicability of Provident Fund to contract employees

Hi, I am doing audit of one Trust employing more than 100 employees. The said trust is also employing on contract basis who include retired Govt. Employees etc. whether, Provident Fund Act is applicable to contract employees or not & if possible kindly quote the reference section of the respective act. The said client trust is deducting PF of its regular employees but not of employees on contractual basis.

one pvt ltd co. taking a car on hire from the director & pays fixed sum as per contract. tds also deducted...my query is that is it should be disclosed in financial statement separately as per AS 18 & in audit report..
