I need your valuable openion of the following issue:

I had issued two cheques to a party one of them was post dated cheque (Due in July 08). However, the party first presented the post date cheque to the bank and bank processed it by debiting my account but due to this my second cheque, which was a valid cheque, got Dishonoured on account of insufficient balance in my account.

Kindly suggest me what kind of action I can take against the bank as the cheque bouncing is matter of Negative Credit Rating.

CST RATES CUTS 3% TO 2%

We have been charging 2%CST on our direct sales from April'08 onward based on Union Govt. Budget announcement.
Kindly let us know whether we should continue charging 2% or revert back to 3%.

Can anybody tell me plz that whats the procedure to get registered with Punjab Welfare fund? How will a company deposit amt deducted from employees with this fund? What documents to be filed for registraion, fees, where to submit, etc.?

There had been a few supereme court rulings whereby it was held that ca office is not a commercial establishment.

Pl help us locate such rulings urgently.

sir i passed cpt in nov 2007 i joined articles in dec 3rd 2007 according to icai rules i cant take exams in 2009 may but i will do articles for 39 hours in a week i.e 7 hours in first five days and 4 hours on saturday i.e 39*72(72 weeks from december 2007 to may 1st 2009) it takes to nearly 2800 but i want to do articles of 35hours *78=2730hours.i am compliting the total hours and just for 23 days short of 18 months i want to wait for 6 months please some one guide me in this regard pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
