one has given his property on rent to ICICI bank on Rs.77000/- per month

for this purpose he paid Rs.231000/- as brokerage

is brokerage allowable as expense ?

01 September 2012 In rental income you receive 30% deduction u/s 24 ,this deduction is for all type of expenditure.

If giving property is his business than the deduction is allowed.
