26 March 2012 if the company have only the salary ledger account ,can employee break up his salary as per follows:

Basic Pay
HRA
SPL Allow.

26 March 2012 Employee cannot break salary on its own. The salary breakup mention in Form 16 or in appointment letter of Company will only be taken into account.
