What is meant by booking entries in tally....eg.. an expense needs to be booked and payment entry needs to be made..

Normally in tally an entry for expense is passed using journal voucher and the corresponding credit is given to creditor. Thats why it is said to be booking of expense and on payment the entry is passed using payment voucher.
