Block deals by Cos & Dis-invstment by Govt

13 November 2010 Hi, can someone explain me that in cases of block deals by Cos & dis-investment by govt, do they issue new or fresh shares to the shareholders? or do they sell existing shares?

05 January 2011 only existing shares are traded in block deals and in disinvestment also existing shares of the govt. are offered to some othr person
