Bank a/c for an illeterate person

Can one illiterate person have a bank a/c, PAN card, invest in mutual fund ? If yes, then how ?

03 May 2011 There is no criteria as to literacy for opening a bank account, or getting a PAN or even investing in Mutual Fund. He can very well do these thing. Just one thing to be kept in mind is that, the source of income should clear, i.e. legal.
