Proposed Equity dividend should not be considered for the calculation of Earnings Per Share (EPS). The EPS derives the per share earnings available to the Equity shareholders. So obviously, profit after tax after preferred dividends (i.e. Preference dividend) should be considered. No effect of General Reserve incase of calculation of EPS.
