14 October 2013 see in differential dividend right policy,shareholders are categorised based upon their rights only.
Here,BEPS=shareholders earnings/weighted avg of outstanding shares during the yr
Now in order to compute their earnings ,you have to find out the ratio or certain base through which you will divide earnings among different classes of shareholder.
The base/ratio must be given in the question

once you apply this ratio/base to the value of shares(no. of shares*value /share) apply this resulting value to distribute earnings amongst different classes/categories of shares.
After this,apply the above BEPS formula for different classes based on their earnings of previous step and number of shares in each category/class
