16 August 2014 Whether the principal can deduct the amount for leave taken (within the limit prescribed by the ICAI)from Stipend payable to the Article assisstant?

For example:Stipend is Rs.1000/- per month. leave taken for exam for 15 days (The exam is leave is permitted by the ICAI)
The principal paid only Rs.500/- after deducting the amount for leave taken.

18 August 2014 Deduction should not be done for leaves taken for exam purpose..but this all depends upon your CA.
