11 April 2010 Is a semi-qualified CS i.e. pass in CS Executive Programme (Intermediate)considered for appointment as Assistant Company Secretary? Is there any statutory provision in the Company Secretaries Act/Companies Act for such appointment of semi-qualified CS?

11 April 2010 You may be appointed but cannot be designated as assistant cs. The law would not recognise such appointment as compliannce of 383A.
