06 July 2024 When applying for an IE (Import Export) Code online, the information required for creating a login may vary depending on the specific platform or website you are using for registration. However, typically, you would need to provide accurate and complete details as per the requirements set by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) or the respective authority in your country.

Here are some general guidelines:

1. **Company/LLP Name**: If you are registering as a company or LLP, you would usually need to provide the official name of the company or LLP as registered with the appropriate authority. This ensures that the IE Code is issued correctly in the name of the entity.

2. **Director/Designated Partner Name**: Individual details such as the name of a director or designated partner may also be required, especially for identification purposes and to establish the authority of the person applying on behalf of the company or LLP.

3. **Registration Platform Requirements**: Follow the specific instructions provided during the registration process on the platform you are using. They may specify whether they require the company/LLP name or individual director/designed partner details.

4. **Accuracy of Information**: It's crucial to ensure that all information provided is accurate and matches the official records of the company or LLP. This helps in smooth processing and issuance of the IE Code.
